ULTRA WORLD X-TET performs a joyful, exotic, soulful and elegant fusion of East and West for the 21st Century. The band instrumentation includes Saxophone, Bamboo Flutes, Bass, Percussion, and Guzheng (23 string Chinese Zither). The Guzheng and Chinese Bamboo flutes bring a rich history of over 2000 years to the overall sound which is modern and adventurous. The X-tet's unique brand of "San Francisco World Jazz" casts an electrifying spell.

Band History...
The band originated and developed their sound working a regular gig at a small jazz club in downtown San Francisco. Word of mouth from this gig led to other opportunities,
including concerts at Herbst Theater, performances at S.F. City Hall, events for the S.F. Symphony, and other high profile performances. We recently released our first CD,
MOON AND LEGEND. The X-tet's performances are a colorful blend of Jazz / World / Ambient / Funk / Classical textures. This is a fresh, new San Francisco sound. Check it out!
